Michelle Hykes
Michelle Hykes has over ten years experience in massage therapy. She has expertise working in rehabilitative therapy from sports injury, motor vehicle accident, work related injury, and spinal injuries. She enjoys helping clients live with decrease pain to a pain-free life from injuries in sports, work related, accidents, and muscular over-use. In addition she has helped many patients with chronic headache management and is experienced with TMJ therapy. She has worked with pro NFL players, Colorado Eagles Hockey Team, Pro-rodeo, professional musicians, marathoners and triathletes.
Michelle spent over 5 years working with medical patients. She worked postpartum massage at NCMC. She is experienced in prenatal and postpartum massage. She has worked with patients with chronic disease and patients with spinal injury with warm water pool therapy and massage. She has experience working with hospice patients and really finds this particular work very special to her.
Michelle graduated at the top of her class in 2010 from the Academy of Natural Therapy. She has an associates degree in holistic health. She is a registered yoga instructor, certified in K-tape, and raindrop therapy. Prior to doing massage therapy Michelle spent several years doing project management and technical writing. She has always loved holistic health and endurance sports. She was an operations project manager at Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy and really enjoyed learning about health and wellness. In 2009 she decided to further her learning in health and wellness. She started a new career in massage therapy and really found a career that she is passionate about. In her spare time she has two teenage kids who keep her busy. Her daughter is a competitive figure skater and cross-country athlete. Her son is active in boy scouts and baseball.
